Questions, answered.
The things people ask us most. If yours isn’t here, call us or send an enquiry — we’re happy to talk it through.
Do you offer a free measure and quote?
Yes. We’ll come to you, bring samples, measure up properly and give you a written quote — no charge and no obligation. Book it through the enquiry form or call us on 01473 626097.
Which areas do you cover?
We fit across Suffolk — Ipswich, Woodbridge, Martlesham, Kesgrave, Felixstowe, Saxmundham, Aldeburgh and Snape are our regular patch. If you’re a little further out, ask: we’ll happily travel for the right job.
Who will fit my floor?
An experienced fitter we know and trust. Some of the fitters we work with are self-employed, and we’re always happy to tell you who’ll be fitting your floor. Either way, we measure and plan every job ourselves, and if anything isn’t right, it’s us you call and us who put it right.
Can I see samples before I decide?
Of course. Visit the showroom in Martlesham Heath to feel them in person, or we’ll bring a selection to your home so you can see them in your own light, against your own walls.
How long does fitting take?
Most rooms are fitted in a day. Larger or more complex jobs — a whole house, stairs and landings, or a commercial floor — are planned around you, and we’ll give you a clear timescale with the quote.
Will you move furniture and take away the old flooring?
We can do both — just tell us when you book. Uplift and disposal of the old floor, and moving heavier furniture, are quoted upfront so there are no surprises on the day.
Looking after your floor.
Simple habits that keep carpets, wood and vinyl looking their best for longer — and what we can do when a floor needs more than a clean.
How should I clean luxury vinyl tiles and vinyl flooring?
Sweep or vacuum with a soft brush, then mop with a non-abrasive floor cleaner. Wipe up spills as soon as you can so they don’t have the chance to stain.
Will furniture scratch my vinyl or LVT floor?
Vinyl and LVT are hard-wearing and resist scratching well, but dragging heavy furniture can still mark them. Lift furniture rather than sliding it across the floor.
How often should I vacuum my carpet?
Once a week is a good routine. Grit and dirt worn into the pile dull the colour and wear the fibres over time, and regular vacuuming also helps keep the air in the room cleaner.
How can I stop my carpet fading or wearing unevenly?
Move furniture around from time to time so the same spots aren’t always under pressure, and close the blinds or curtains when the sun is at its strongest to give the carpet a rest from direct light.
Should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?
Yes. A professional steam clean or shampoo every one to two years keeps carpets looking fresh. Check the manufacturer’s care guide first, as some fibres need a particular method.
How do I look after a wood floor?
Day to day, it’s much like vinyl: sweep or vacuum with soft, non-abrasive tools. The difference is that wood benefits from being refinished every three to five years, depending on the finish and how much wear it gets, to keep its shine and protection and to soften scratches and scuffs.
My LVT floor looks tired. Does it need replacing?
Often not. Our team is trained in the cleaning, repair and resealing of luxury vinyl tiles, which can bring a worn floor back to life for much less than the cost of a new one. See Floor Maintenance or get in touch and we’ll take a look.
